Danielle had assumed that when Diane had said that big boys are sometimes naughty and need to be spanked, she'd meant Paul, since he wasn't really a little boy, but Diane had meant something quite different.
"I want you to understand that I am not cross with you" said Diane, as they went through the front door and towards the garage "You have done nothing wrong and I'm glad you came."
"Alright" said Danielle, wondering why Diane was telling her this now.
Gary was sweeping the newly cleared floor, and he turned when he heard footsteps.
"I want a word with you, Gary Weaver" said Diane, and Gary knew he was in trouble. He was startled when he saw a rather sheepish Danielle stood beside and slightly behind Diane.
"I'm doing it" said Gary working hard not to sound too defensive "Look, I just need to sweep the floor, clean the shelves, then I can start packing everything back in, only neatly and tidily, obviously. Some of the stuff can go to the tip, I'll take it later." He sensed that Diane wasn't really paying any attention.
"I am talking about telling Danielle she could just come in" said Diane.
"Oh" said Gary, sounding surprised "But... why not? It's not like you were doing anything?"
"Wasn't I?" asked Diane "Are you sure?"
"Well, yes, pretty sure" said Gary "Were you... hoovering... or... something?"
"No, I wasn't hoovering, or something, Margaret and I were giving Paul Turner a spanking" said Diane.
"Margaret's here?" said Gary, going pale.
"Yes she is" said Diane "And poor innocent Danielle here walked right in on us. Paul was bare arsed naked, getting a lecture, and this poor girl had to see him in the altogether, with his willy stuck up in the air, now how do you think she liked that?"
Gary looked at the very embarrassed looking Danielle and suspected that she'd liked it very much "Sorry, love, I didn't know."
"Of course you didn't know, you never know, which is why you shouldn't tell people to just come in. Because you don't know" said Diane crossly.
Gary took a deep breath "Alright, I'm sorry" he looked at Danielle "Danielle, I'm sorry if you were embarrassed."
"I hope you don't think that's the end of it?" said Diane "I'm going to give you such a spanking when you've finished the garage!"
"Diane!" said Gary looking shocked "Not, you can't say that... in front of..." He didn't say her name he just nodded, ever so slightly, towards her.
"Can't I? You seem to be happy to send the poor girl in while Paul Turner's stark naked and about to get a spanking. I've got a good mind to ask her to stay so she can watch you get yours" said Diane.
"Uh..." Gary realised he had to be very careful what he said now, he could only make matters worse "Sorry, dear." He hung his head to provide visible evidence of his shame.
"Hmmmm!" said Diane, thoughtfully and intimidatingly.
"I'll get on then, shall I?" said Gary, avoiding looking up at the already embarrassed fourteen year old girl. She was blushing and holding her head down herself, but she wasn't half as embarrassed as Gary was. The thought that he might be spanked in front of this child was mortifying. Of course, he knew that Diane was just trying to scare him; that she wouldn't really consider such an outrageous exhibition, but he also knew that if he pushed her she might just want to make the point.
"Are you taking this seriously?" asked Diane.
"Yes" said Gary, sounding surprised "Of course. I am. Very seriously. I'm sorry, I just thought... you'd finished..."
"Finished? You think I'm finished, do you?" asked Diane.
"Uh, well, I guess not, look what do you want me to do?" said Gary.
"I think you can have a warm up right now, so you can take those trousers and pants right down!" said Diane.
Gary stared at her. She couldn't be serious. His heart beat became more rapid, his palms started to sweat and he felt breathless. He sneaked a quick look at Danielle, who was blushing even more furiously than before, and then he took a quick look down the drive. Anyone could walk past! Finally he looked up at Diane "Uh, darling, my sweet, maybe..." He recognised that look in her eye; he'd been seeing it for years. The first time he had seen it he had thought it was cute. But then, he'd had no idea what it had heralded.
